I MADE AN APPOINTMENT...
...NOW WHAT?
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FIRST SESSION

THE CONSULTATION:
The very first step in your electrolysis journey is a consultation. The consultation appointment is one hour long. We'll discuss the process of electrolysis, how the procedure works, and hair growth cycles. We will answer your questions and allow time for treatment.
HYDRATE:
Well-hydrated skin maintains its elasticity, which often makes the treatment more comfortable. Hydrated skin is also better at conducting the electrical currents used in treatment, resulting in more effective results. We strongly recommend drinking plenty of water throughout the week leading up to your treatment, especially the day before your appointment. During this time, please also avoid caffeine and alcohol, which dehydrate your skin.

STOP PLUCKING and WAXING:
Refrain from short-term hair removal methods leading up to your appointment. Avoid plucking or waxing for 2-3 weeks beforehand, and avoid shaving for 2-5 days before your electrolysis appointment. To treat the hair, there must be at least 1/8th of an inch of length above the surface of the skin (about the length of a grain of rice).

BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE DISCOMFORT:
Electrolysis may be a little uncomfortable. Each person has a unique reaction to pain and various levels of pain tolerance. The sensation of the electrolysis procedure is often compared to plucking the hair or a small pinching feeling. If you have a lower pain tolerance or if you are worried about feeling pain during your treatment, please talk to your primary care physician for the best options for pain relief. We will do everything possible to make the process as comfortable as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please call or email us at least 48 hours in advance.
For appointments canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply.
"No-Shows" will be charged for their appointment time.
