WHAT TO EXPECT
Your guide to preparing for electrolysis, understanding the treatment process, and knowing what to expect along the way.
YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION

Your electrolysis journey begins with a consultation.
We'll discuss your hair removal goals, the areas you would like to treat, your hair growth patterns, and what a realistic treatment plan may look like.
This is your opportunity to ask questions, learn about the process, and decide whether electrolysis is the right choice for you.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
HYDRATE
Well-hydrated skin can make treatment more comfortable. Drink plenty of water before your appointment.
LET THE HAIR GROW
Please do not tweeze, wax, or use other methods that remove the hair from the follicle before your appointment.
Shaving or trimming is generally fine between appointments. Before your treatment, allow enough visible hair for us to grasp and remove it after the follicle has been treated. Approximately 1/8 inch of visible hair is often sufficient.
COME WITH CLEAN SKIN
Whenever possible, arrive with the treatment area clean and free from heavy makeup, lotions, oils, or other products.
DURING YOUR TREATMENT
Electrolysis treats one hair follicle at a time
A fine, sterile filament is gently inserted into the natural opening of the follicle. A controlled current is applied, and the hair is removed.
Everyone experiences treatment differently. You may feel brief heat, a pinch, or a mild sting. Sensitivity can vary depending on the treatment area and your individual tolerance.
We will work with you to make your treatment as comfortable as possible while maintaining effective treatment.
